Your METHod seems a bit extreme EJ! ... it was BBQ and beer that undid me last time! .. such an easy habit to fall back into..... dangit,  but I am also $ motivated to stay off them! .. I'm bloody sick of calculating if I have enough fuel money for work or whether I can get a bloody coffee in the morning! .... snarl grump ptui mumble grumble. ..  ;) :thumb:

Janx.... There are safe and proven drug-free options to help you pass the BBQ & Beer test too...

Electo-Shock Treatments are administered every time you have an urge to "light-up"
You only have to wear the medically implanted head-band for about a week and then you'll be cured.

Hell, The doctor can give the remote control key-fob firing button to your boss or your wife for even faster results.  :thumb:

Bahahaha. .. yer a funny fecker! ;) .. I'll be ok... if I have BBQ I just won't have beer! Easy peasy!

Electrojake

Beer with BBQ is good! .. but it's like a seasoning kinda.... there's lots of other  seasonings tho!

I've had. ...  counting....  5 maybe? Beers this calender year? .. its not a big loss! .. but my willpower varys widely with beer! Lol

Oh Janx... One last thing; Let us know if you get fat after you quit smoking. I didn't but I'm told that some people do.

Lol yeah.. it's on my mind.

I kinda avoided it by getting fat over winter! 23lbs or so extra! .  And the knee thing I've been having dramas with is partly due to 'excess baggage' ...

However in the last 2 -3 weeks I've clocked up about 60km or so on the MTB .. which is 60km more than all year! .. haven't weighed recently but I'm feeling fitter already!

Best thing I did was the day after I stopped smoking was Australia Day, so it was dinner down at the local leagues club... my wife was still smoking and we were drinking... I lasted through that without a smoke then all good  :thumb: No problems going to the pub or whatever since then and I have no desire to have one any more.

On another topic, cleaned up that work bench last night, forgot to take a pic though so will have to do that tonight for your viewing pleasure...

Two items...

1.) we like pics, Pete. Pics are joy!

2.) some people are not serious smoker-drinkers. They're not pub dwellers. I think most of them can quit with out too much fuss because smoking is just a habit and not truly a part of their lifestyle.

By the time I was 40, I was no longer a pub dweller so i was capable of finally quitting.
25 years of smoking just stopped.  :dunno_black:

All I can say is more power to you Janxy, you can stop!!  :woohoo: :thumb:

And I finished the work bench clean up last night, I was really only half way there the night before as I had spanners everywhere as well...

And here is the proof!! Showing off the newly installed power points in the left corner and fluro above the work bench as well... and I moved the bench vice further towards the drill press so I could utilise that little desk lamp to properly see what I'm doing.

The "miniglades" is filling again ( a miniature everglades) i had put cut brush in middle of a retention pond  a few years back awaiting a burn permit.   county wouldnt issue for nearly 2 years. due to drought. and now weve got small trees growing there. and when pond fills from rainfall it looks like a scale model of the FL everglades lol. been raining for 3 days solid.

Ahh yes. If only my shop was roomy like the peteGS shop.
But nope! Mine is tiny and packed with bikes that seldom get ridden. <sigh>

peteGS, your pics are cool!

I'm thinking of converting an old shipping container into a little shop (because everywhere else at my place is either off limits or dusty like the '30s).

Just want a nice place to wrench!!  :technical: :technical:
I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.
