Hahaha yes indeed! It's the Fred Flinstone edition Katana  :icon_lol:

Yep very handy ShowBiz! We have two, one in the shed and one in the garage, they get lots of use for sure!

Those wheels are my favourite of the three GS/GSX/Katana variety from the '83 and on models... there's the wire wheels, the "snowflake" like on my 450, then these ones. I like the snowflakes on the 450 as they suit it, but I really like the '83 on pattern on a Kat.  :thumb:

Oooops!! Don't ya hate that?  :technical: :icon_rolleyes:

I got all my bits and pieces together to make my press and my house mate did me a favour during the week and cut the steel and threaded rod for me. Then between Saturday and Sunday morning I got some holes drilled in the steel for the rod to pass through but that's some seriously tough steel and I have seriously dodgy drill bits! Had to keep spraying some Inox on to keep it cool enough and had to keep sharpening the bits also, but finally drilled... and of course none of them ended up in exactly the right spot so I'm going to have to file to get them to line up  :technical:

And of course the phone rang about 7:30 Sunday morning and I had to do some work for a few hours... then again about 11:00 for a few more hours... then again at 8:30pm and finished just in time to watch MotoGP. And I'm not even on call any more  :technical:

Then some stuff I did yesterday avo' before leaving work broke as I was riding home, so yep logging back in at 4:30pm to about 6:30pm to sort that out...

So, consequently, Aside from finishing drilling those holes, that means zero progress on the Kat over the weekend, the time I needed to start learning new stuff for work on Sunday night went out the window, and more time gone yesterday avo'/evening... gotta love it!  :technical:

Anyway, taking today off as time in lieu... hoping I can get *something* done to compensate...

Yay progress!

I finally got to finish my press off to a useable state yesterday.

I still had to apply heat to the swingarm but getting the bushings out wasn't that big a deal once I was able to use the press.

Getting the new ones in was even easier after 30 minutes in the freezer and then using the press again.
