Hhahaha that would make for an interesting flight!!

Got my 2nd gear pressed off... seems it may have spun on the shaft and partially welded itself... not sure if this means a new 2nd gear as well as a new 5th now or if it can be re-used as long as it's welded...  :technical:

Crankcases degreased and pressure washed so I can start the paint prep on these too.

Front mudguard paint prep has started..

And used the soldering iron to plastic repair a minor tear at the rear which you couldn't see from the outside...

Hahah cheers you pair! We'll just have to wait and see how it ends up... as long as it looks good from 10 feet away I'll be a happy man  :icon_mrgreen:

I've gotta get motivated to finish that sanding off yet, getting quite humid and warm at night so it's a struggle getting out to the shed... nothing quite like sweating in a pair of overalls at 8pm at night...

Yes indeed  :thumb: :thumb:

Having guys and gals follow along and offer encouragement is definitely good on the motivational side of things  :thumb:

Been a bit warm at night to get motivated enough to keep sanding, but hoping to get the cowl and mudguard finished up over the weekend so I can move on to the tail piece and side covers. The side covers just need roughing up ready for primer really, they're smooth with no repairs needed. The tail piece I need to check out a bit more carefully yet.

Should be less than a month away from ordering gearbox bits, the tank, and paint  :woohoo:

Only catch is my PC ain't real good at movie editing... one of the reasons I haven't bothered too much with the GoPro in quite a while. It takes so long to edit and process properly... could probably do with a computer upgrade at some point to something that's not quite so old... this one has to be 7 or 8 years old now... still runs Windows 7   :icon_eek:

i upgraded to 10 free via microsoft.  just a couple weeks ago now. got an idea since im not really that good as far as figuring out how to transfer LARGE files. shoot teh happy dance and ride videos when time comes, and just chuck them up on youtube, i could put it together for you then send back via youtube? heck ive got freetime in abundance. can hash out the details when the time comes. the pictures are already here. via your host so , its in a spot where i could work with it.

I had the offer to upgrade... but I don't like upgrading Windows, comes from too many years as a PC tech and too many issues with upgrades... it really needs a fresh install but motivation to do that is seriously lacking due to how long it takes to make sure everything's backed up and saved first before even starting...

Maybe one day I'll get motivated enough  :dunno_black:

Video wise, that could work... it's all theory until the Kat is done anyway right? :D
