1.) Cold & windy again. Not happy.
Two days of 60 degree weather and then right back into the freezer.  >:(

2.) I dont mind the snow... its the 10,000 tons of salt/sand/calcium chloride they dump on the roads that ruins everything.

3.) You cant 'kick' until I unload all my valuable junk in your shed/basement/attic/front yard. LOL  :icon_razz:

Happy Birthday!

ya i made it lol. its snowing here so doing nothing lol. im browsing amazon. found my next purchase for the comp. at some point  https://www.amazon.com/Ocamo-GT730-128Bit-Express-Graphics/dp/B077Z7LP53/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1516134109&sr=8-6&keywords=4gb+video+card  current card isnt THAT bad fwiw, but this one would semi futureproof the pc. cpu would bottleneck it, but it would be able to make the migration into the next build.
Aaron
hmmm next project idea

No presents? That sucks a bit! But a good day somewhat makes up for that  :thumb:

Yes it is indeed good to be seeing some light... at this point I'm pretty sure it's the end of the tunnel, not a train coming in the other direction...  :icon_lol:

around 45f today, 50s thru monday. if its not unfroze by monday, will have to have well pump checked. methinks 2 weeks of roughly soiuth of 20 and into single digits caused a hard ground freeze. will take a few days to thaw. :technical:

Look at it as a Birthday Challenge.
Certainly more exciting than a neck tie or argyle sox.  :icon_mrgreen:

As long as the TV has power all is set right?  :thumb:

And yep EJ, something has had a go at taking a chunk out of the rear of the stator area there, outboard of where the starter motor sits. It's a bit too far outwards to be a drive chain, I'm thinking it's more of a slide down the road, spin backwards and hit a gutter or something. There's no stator cover with this motor so I can't see what damage happened to that to compare.

It's been repaired with what looks like JB Weld, but it's not a good repair and it has already started to fail where it obviously wasn't cleaned or prepared properly.

I'll clean up what's there to get rid of any other bits about to fall off, then give it a good thorough clean and tidy up and I'll use JB Weld again to fix it, but I'll make sure it's a proper repair this time. As long as it's oil tight it will be fine  :thumb:

i always hate jb weld, but sometimes its the only choice other than some uber fab skills lol. fun washing dishes without running water. 4 gallons and a double stove. 3 hot and 1 rinse. a tad labor intensive but it works. got to get inside pump; house to see if i can bypass the frozen pipe with a hose temporarily. unless pump is fubar. near 60f today so hell it should be flowing before long. just a couple weeks almost of sub freeze it froze solidly. going to pawn/sell a few things to grab some garden hose and other items so we can insulate this pipe. or rent a torpedo heater and point it at that 10ft stretch of grass infront of the marble bricks ( retaining wall) to try and head up the earth. yeah i know it will ruin the grass but fwiw grass can be replaced early spring.
