With that out of the way... :flipoff:
My friend sold me a pair of integrated, aftermarket mirrors for $10 so i decided to see how they would look on my bike. I'm not sure what kind of mirrors they are, but I have seen them before on eBay. They fit the same mounting bracket as my bike, and the only real modifications I had to make was to drill a wire-sized hole in the front cowling, and to "splice" a few wires together. Sorry about the formatting of the post, It was kind of weird not being able to see the pictures previewed before posting.

Here is a step by step guide on how I installed integrated turn signal mirrors on my 2007 GS500F:

Step 1: Mount the integrated mirrors on your bike, making sure the wire is freely hanging so that you can work with it.

Step 2: Expose the two wires underneath the solid black insulating material. The wires underneath for mine were red and yellow.

Step 3: Strip the ends of the two colored wires so that the metal wires are visible and long enough for you to connect to another set of wires.

Step 4: Take your current turn signal indicators off and strip the insulating material off the wire a few away from the indicator light. ( Sorry, I really did not know how I should have worded that :dunno_black: )

Step 5: Drill a hold near the mirror mounting brackets large enough to fit the two colored wires of the mirrors.

Step 6: Push the two wires down into the hole until they can be seen on the inside of the cowling.

Step 7: Re-attach your current turn signal indicators back to the fairing. Connect the two wires of your integrated turn signal mirror to the turn signal indicator wires. Plug the turn signal indicator bullet ends back into their plugs, fire her up, and turn it on. If the turn signals don't turn on at first, you may have to switch the wires around. My red mirror turn signal wire matched up with the yellow turn signal wire, while the black mirror turn signal wire matched up with the yellow turn signal wire.

Well, that's It. They work. The sun was facing me directly, so the pictures and the light don't match up well, but come night time, I'll post some better pics!

Enjoy!

Any questions, feel free to ask!!!

Nice. But why not just get the same lights that mount on the bars so no drilling is needed.

If I had the money, I would. Where would you find something like those bar lights?

Bought mine for about $30 new from overseas. Got them off ebay. They screw in to the holes on the bars and the the wires already have the plugs to connect to the turn signal wiring.

Still though, thanks for taking the time to do pics and a write up. Not everyone likes the lights/mirrors have. I was just asking why you choose them but you can't beat $10 :)
