Weeeee. Howdy.

Let's see... I'm Jared. I'm 27. This is my first bike and... I live in seattle? I've been around motorcycles, but never started riding till last fall. Dad rides a speed triple, so I guess naked runs in the family.

1996 gs500. Everything stock but for the rear suspension link rod thing. Girl I bought it from was about 5' tall and had it lowered. Just got it back up to stock height. I plan on replacing the seat asap as i just dont find it to feel very stable. Had it in the shop for a bit to take care of a leaky fork. It didn't occur to me to have different springs put in. My goal is a to become a little more mechanically inclined with this thing. Adidasguy's videos are fantastic.

What else? I like long walks on the beach, but short walks are better because walking in the sand sucks.

So when you gonna stop by the West Seattle Bike Cave?

Backfire Moto tomorrow night. Activity starts around 4. I get there 5 to 6. Centered around 17th and Leary in Ballard.  http://www.backfiremoto.com/
Lots of fun. Normally I park near the back end of Hilliards Brewery.

Bluesmudge

Welcome. Lots of Seattle people on the board. Lots more that wish they lived in Seattle.

Thanks guys! I'd have loved to drop by the backfire gathering. Had prior plans for my mother's birthday. How often does that go on? I'll have to head over to west-seattle some weekend when I get some free time. What part are you in?

Smudgy lives near Alki Beach. I and the Bike Cave are near 39th & Andover. BrianRC lives a couple blocks away. There are others with GS500's in the area and a few with other bikes that frequent the Cave.
Let's see....... nonfiction, nortwestrider, centuryghost, de-lectronic, jacob92icu, suzukistevo, AuburnGSFan, and others.

If you go to Aurora Suzuki for parts or anything, remember two things:
1. They have free popcorn
2. Always ask for the West Seattle GS500 Club discount!

Backfire Moto is the 3rd Wednesday of the month all year long. It got rained on yesterday so postings I saw said not too busy. On a nice evening, there can be 500 bikes all along the streets.

Kind of like this:

Hey Jared, welcome to the site as well! Ever make your way over to Auburn, let me know and we'll ride.  That is if I ever get my own leaky fork repaired as well.  Hope to install my (new to me) Racetech springs at the same time.

Always good to see a local rider join up! Ride safe.

Lean & Believe.
