New rider on Cape Cod MA

I just bought my first motorcycle and I chose a 2000 gs500e. I'm in love with her when she wants to run right    I was wondering if anyone is from the area that doesn't mind riding with a semi new beginner. Well hope to hear from someone soon.

I'm close to Cape Ann...not too close to Cape Cod. And I have a simple manual-transmission scooter, no GS500 anymore. But I'd be glad to give you some basic riding tips, and perhaps one day we could go for a ride together. 

GS500 is a GREAT choice for a first bike.

What problems have you had though? They're generally very reliable.
