well i was at a friends house and an old enemy of mine came over, saw me, took off and while driving away, he decided it would be funny to do a hit and run on my beloved GS500f that i recently converted to a GS500E  >:( (kind of, i took the headlight from my F model and mounted it to the forks. bike is naked). Anyways after calling the cops and my insurance, thank Odin i knew the guys name, i assessed the damage. My clubman handlebars are bent beyond repair, my front brake lever is slightly bent, and my stock exhaust is scratched to hell!!! I switched the handlebars back to the stock one which thankfully i didnt sell and i got an idea. I am now going to turn my "GS500E" to a cruiser!!! I got the idea cause the stock handlebars are WAY higher than my clubmans, and it felt like i was riding a cruiser instead of a sportsbike, since i was so used to the clubman handlebars. When im done converting, i will post pics of the completed project. By the way, this probably wont be done till november cause i wont have the money to do anything till october, unless i get the hit and run cash before then. Anyone who has any ideas, feel free to post!

Big leather saddle bags with those tassel thingies on them!

I wonder if you could retrofit those foot rests under the pegs, and maybe get a 2-way shifter...

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Howevre you do it, don't forget to buy a little bell. That would be the finishing tough to your new cruiser.

I've been looking for pictures of the Katana with cruiser bars I've seen before, but haven't been able to find any.

C'mon man. Just fix it!

Or get the gun mounts you always wanted.

This sounds like a disaster in the making.

Wait for the insurance payment and get it done.

Wow what a piece of $#it!!!!! Sounds like a current enemy!

So I take it you know the guy or at least someone who knows where he lives? Time to round up a few of your buddies, your favorite blunt objects, pay him a visit and dont leave until he has handed over a couple of $100 bills to pay for the damages. Im not condoning violence but a long 2x4 with a nail through the end is a persuasive object........

why will it take till november for your insurance to pay you ?

pocket the money now, ride the bike as is (big deal, something is scratched?), and sue the idiot, along with getting a restraining order from the courts. let him be the dramatic idiot and clean his pockets while laughing.

i actually said october but i was thinking of the student loans im getting. I might actually get the money in a couple weeks if all goes well with the insurance. I also just totaled out the damage to about 2000 buckaroos!!!!!  :thumb: i got a blown fuse, scratched/dented exhaust, clubman handlebars are completely f'ed up, front brake lever is bent, and the carb on the right needs a rebuild(i dont think it was cause he hit me but im blaming it on him ;) might as well get as much money as possible) so after totaling tax and labor its gonna be a LOT of cash. plus im pressing charges. And dont worry, im most definitely getting a restraining order

oh me and this guy have been enemies for awhile. And btw i just found out yesterday that one of my friends slashed his tires and theres no evidence its connected to any of my friends so we got him good  :thumb: and also just for the record i did not tell them to do this, they are just real good friends and REALLY protective of me and each other.
