Holy crap what are the odds of that happening?! And how did that poor old bugger manage not to crash?  :o

Was just thinking about this the other day when i was riding to pass of the Relay baton. Rode through some pretty heavy t-storms and had my nerves going after having lightening strike literally in the same parking lot during 1 stop.

Good to see the rider survived and managed to keep it right side up during the strike!

Talk about being on your knees praying and thanking someone. Had he been standing on  the ground and not had rubber tires under him, he might not had made it

He he ... lightning that has jumped several miles is going to be put off by an inch of rubber ... he he ... urban myth. However you can often survive a lightning strike even if you directly get hit, there are people who have suvived them, and some even have survived a few.
Keeping upright is a bigger acheivement I think under the circumstances.

Cool.
