Not going to bother with these anymore.
Sales never go good:

"It has scratches"
"Faded"
"Color isn't an EXACT match" (candy colors never are, but whatever).
"Can you hold it for a couple weeks until I have money?"  (complete blue set still here, was waiting for someone to pay.)

Just too much bother for the time to box and ship and the frustrations dealing with them after a sale.

Sorry.

If you're local, you can pick some up. Otherwise, I'm not going to bother anymore.

Too much stress involved with selling used plastics.

Would you sell the blue cowling separately?

If no one wants the set in a month, I would. For now I do not want to break up sets.

jcube04

how much for the blue set w/ cowling and all?

Cleaning up the extra parts. LOTS of tail plastics. Some are complete sets. Some are both sides but I am short on tail center pieces.

Offers for lots of them will be entertained.

$30 each singles that don't match anything. $75 for a matched set. $100 for a set with the tail center piece.
Postage extra.

Matched sets are
Blue with the tail center piece
    Black with red GS500E
    Red with the bluish GS500E
    Orange and black
One black tail center available for either the black set or orange set
*** I will not break up the matched sets. Matched sets are too hard to find. ***

The orange set has one extra brand new side so all 3 go together for the same price unless someone needs the extra right side.

Complete BLUE set: tails, center, fender and headlight cowling. Cowling is same color but satin finish. A 2k clear coat would make it glossy. There is no mounting hardware for the headlight cowling.

Would ya happen to have a set of stock mirrors for f model ?

Hi Adidas,
I'm interested in the lighter blue side covers from 1991 (with the silver and pink stripes) and the accompanying center piece.
They are in good shape?
No scratches?
Let me know and thanks man.

They are in excellent condition with no cracks that I can see and looks like no scratches, just a little weathering that will clean up with a cleaning.
The left side is missing the center tab. That is not critical for holding it on. I can cut a tab from a junk plastic and glue it on with good plastic cement (like MEK) that actually melts the pieces together.

Thanks for the info, Adidas.
Sending you a PM.
Best wishes,

Candy colors, like Candy Antares Red are something I will never sell no matter what the condition. Too many issues because the colors are not "exactly the same". Heck, I even have original, new-old-stock parts and the color varies. Candy colors: any slight variation in the amount of the translucent top coat color and it will be lighter or darker than another piece. With old parts coming from factories around the world, the color will not be 100% the same, as it can be with a solid color.

Some stuff fades and you don't know it unless compared to another piece that was not faded. maybe you can see a little fading, but they are used parts. Fading to some degree will always happen unless parts are new old stock and stored in darkness. Its not like I charge premium prices. I sold complete sets (2 sides and a tail center) for the cost of just one side plastic. Tail centers go for $25 and I sold sets for $75. Too many unhappy buyers. Maybe if I charged more? I sell at a loss just to give them a home rather than feed the dumpster (which is starting to happen  :icon_eek: ).
Boxing them is another hour ling task.

Right now I don't need the stress of dealing with them.

Like I said, someone local can pick them up.

(I guess this should go in the "Rant of the Day")

theres also say you have a blue set of plastics, in seattle, another rider needs said said in fla, variations due to climate too.

You can get color variation in paint between left and right fairings just from parking the same way daily. Just the nature of light fading.

Sorry to hear people are being so unreasonable.

Not always that unreasonable, but just so much to deal with that I'm better doing other things.
"Does the color match?" How wold I know?
"Which color code is it?" We can only guess, they are not marked.
"How faded are they?" Your criteria is not the same as mine.
"Do you have ones without scratches?" Probably not. You're lucky I even have one of the right color and decal.

This whole thread should just be deleted.
