So last night I had a buddy over helping me remove the wheels from the bike so i can get new tires mounted =), when I was pulling the rear wheel I realized that I hated the rear fender, so I took about 6" off of it and wow it looks way better, so than i realized that i hate the front fairing and its to big for the bike, also its jacked up so...its going also. Heres my questions.

1. What size is the stock 2004f forks, (for the round head light mounting brackets)?
2. Will a Stock E Head light assembly mount up nicely?
3. Any words of wisdom?
4. Any other cool mods i should add to the list?

Thanks in advanced.

04 = 89-00 for forks. Only some crappy sticker or somehting eas put on the 04+.
The swivel bracket, grommets and old headlight are a direct fit.
Cool.

Thanks Buddha,

What about the turn signals, I know i'll need new ones, but where do people usually mount them, I was thinking directly to the head light bracket but I was not sure.

Turn signals mount on the headlight ears if you put stock mounts on.
Aftermarket ones I don't know - depends on what you buy.
Stock ones fit really well and are simple to slip on the forks.

Buy the whole kit and kaboodle ... and good luck there, cos right about in the last few years the 04+'s have outnumbered the 89-01's, and all the crashed 04+'s have snapped up the bloody 89-00 headlight parts.
So much so, I had to goober up some billet+aluminum sheet metal on mine

Cool.

Then I guess you haven't seen the parts supply in the West Seattle Bike Cave?

The Buddha

That explains the shortage.
