Help with leaking brake fluid

Have a 2002 gs500

Not really sure why but my brake hose is leaking brake fluid from the washer where it connects to the master cylinder

The bigger issue, whoever had it before me completely stripped the bolt going into it. I can probably get it off with a bolt extractor but I don't want to remove it without having what I need to fix it. Is it just a banjo bolt with a crush washer going through the brake hose? Will I need to just replace the brake hose? Any insight appreciated

Also, if I can replace the banjo bolt if anyone knows the size it would be very helpful

Answered my own question about the banjo bolt and crush washers but still need to know the size and thread if anyone knows. I work in an auto parts store so access is unlimited

You need to check the female threads in the master cylinder that the banjo screw into before anything else.

To me IF it's cross-threaded then it's ruined....it might tap a larger thread but realistically u don't have much metal  thickness to play with.
Banjo on Oz master cylinder is M10 x 1.0....banjo on front caliper is M10 X 1.25.

PS.....probably why PO stripped...different thread pitches, which makes me wonder about the front caliper banjo.  :dunno_black:

I'm just gonna throw this out there. If you're going to tear down the front brake system, why not throw a little more into it and get a stainless steel line kit?

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.
