Does anyone have a laminar lip for a stock GS500F windshield they want to sell?

I've never seen one on a GS. Seen them on lots of BMWs and other touring bikes though.

You might be able to adapt one of the ones from Casport that normally suit a V-Strom.

And for people wondering what they are:

Wherever you may be, there you are.

Ask bluesmudge. He has one.

His is generic. Not GS500 specific.

Try going to a local bike dealer that deals in adventure bikes - like a BMW dealer or a generic bike accessories store.

Laminar lip. Next we'll be discussing coefficients of lift!   ;)

Thanks for the replies. They make one for GS500F    http://laminarlip.com/gs500f.php    just wanted to see if anyone had a used one first. I tried the ZG touring shield, it made the wind noise worse for me.

Gotta tuck your head down a bit more. I could tuck behind mine and have zero wind noise in my lid.

So you already know of one? Then was this a trick question posted or a test of our knowledge?

If you mentioned originally that you knew of one and asked if anyone used it or a similar you would have had far more useful replies. All of the "What is it?" posts would not have been necessary.

Yes I knew of one, a new one, I was looking for a used one. This was no trick question or a test of anyone's knowledge. I see alot of WTB post that are for things that people can buy new, but choose to try to find used.

If you get the lip for the stock screen, let us know how it goes and how tall you are. I have a generic sport laminar lip on top of a zero gravity touring screen. It takes all the wind pressure off of my chest but puts the blast right at ear level so the noise level is actually higher. For me, the stock screen has been the most quiet of all the combinations I have tried. I am 6 feet tall.

a note on this... i am 5'11 .. with the stock screen i used to get a lot of helmet buffeting at ANY speed above 110kph .. after .. 'a bit more than that speed' it would make me actively tense my neck up a bit to combat the buffet/shake .. (helmet is a Nolan N102 - not the most aerodynamic or quiet helmet.. but i like it for the fit) ... with the ZG Touring screen on the buffeting only comes into play above ummm.... 160(obviously on a track!) .. and only a bit of buffeting then! ... the wind noise at my ears is still there .. but i think thats a helmet design 'feature' that would require riding in a vacuum to silence! ..

i was varying my posture and positioning on a ride the other week... less than 3" upwards, when i sit bolt upright and  the buffet is back... about 4" forward lean (like to stretch the bum/lower back muscles) and the buffet is back ... so for my height and helmet .. the ZG touring screen is awesome! ..

as i say .. just a note for height and screen without extra lip
