My stock bars have the threaded insert in them.
Anyone know of what kind of bar ends will work or if there is an adapter that will make them work?

TheFableTheFury

Can you just use the bar end clamp with a longer clamp screw and clamp on to the existing bar end weights?

Soloratov

^^ what he said ^^

Should be able to just remove the clamping mechanism from the mirrors and use the appropriate bolts for the inserts.

Ran into the same hiccup when installing my cheapo bar end mirrors. My bars had the mounting hole welded inside the bar, which left no room for the mirrors tensioner. So I removed the bar end and the mirrors tension mechanism, and simply threaded the mounting screw into the existing bar end's mounting hole. Tighten snugly.

Here's a crappy shot of it on the bike;

Steezin. I kinda follow but not fully.,

Lets see if this works, if not I'll snap a quick photo after work tonight.

Un-thread the tension mechanism(red arrow) exposing the mounting screw's(green arrow) threads. Then thread the mounting screw into the mount inside of bar.

Really? That worked? Cool

Thanks

I just ordered some like those. Hopefully they work. Were you able to retain your bar end weights?
