I'm sure that there are more than a few of you that play instruments or are in bands.
I played a great gig last night at The Lit Lounge in NYC, it was really great! My band is a three piece, a vocalist, a drummer and me- (being the electronic music making section) how about you guys?

I used to play... miss it a lot.  We considered ourselves Ska, and played a lot of 90s stuff as a result lol.  We all moved on after college.  Main reasons were that we had a killer bass player who moved to the next level, and my TMD of my jaw got out of hand.  I played alto and tenor sax.  We had a real natural piano player, a solid trumpet player who would switch off with trombone, and our main vocalist played guitar.  We got paid for quite a few local gigs.  I also played for the city's band in addition to that, and got paid for that for about 3 years.  Just had to give it up because the swelling in my jaw would get so bad, it would close off part of my ear canal and I could barely hear anything, my jaw would get locked up just trying to talk.  Not as tragic as it sounds... I make a lot more now then I ever would have playing, but I sure do miss it!
