I noticed last night when I was about to leave my buddy's house that my right header gets literally red hot when the bike is warmed up. Is that normal?

I have seen it on occasion: usually from warming up way too long on a very cold night. It was pretty!
A minute or two is enough.
How long was it sitting there, running, going nowhere?

One side hotter than the other can indicate running lean on that side and carbs probably need syncing and/or adjusting.

I usually start it up and then smoke a cigarette and by the time I'm done I can ride off. I'm gonna post a picture of my plugs that I posted in another thread. Can you tell me which side is lean and which side is fine?

depends on the cigarette i guess??

i think he means the hot side is lean? ... the plugs go whitish on a lean side .. which indicates to me its hotter and burning the ash/oil off the plug?

Smokefaster.
30 seconds in warm weather is more than enough. A minute in cold weather does just fine.
50* and above, often 10 seconds or so and I'm on the road.

Probably doing more harm than good - especially if you have the choke on and are sitting there at 3k RPM for 5 minutes. Not to mention how that will kill your MPG.

I'll keep that in mind. I let it run until I lose the small hesitation in acceleration. That is the only reason I let it run that long before riding

Both your plugs are showing lean conditions , with my delkavic exhaust on bike was running really lean ,on choke headers would glow red and if i reved it flames would shoot out the end can , since fittin the lunch box air filter and rejett i rarely use the choke , shes running super smooth

Both look lean, but looks like the bottom one is leaner - so that should be your side that's glowing red if that's the issue.  It could just need a carb sync, as that would affect your mixture at idle and what you are seeing on the plugs.
