Couldn't find the bug report thread.. Getting a 403 forbidden error on my work comp. Firefox and IE.. Is this a sign the IT guys have had enough of my gstwin forum trolling?

Any suggestions?

Sounds like they are blocking you. Maybe they updated the firewall settings and you need to allow gstwins.com to be accesses.

Google is your friend. Google "error 403"

Out of all the sites my work computer sees, i highly doubt my IT guys would block gstwins.. I kind of said that as a joke haha

Here's the thread I was looking for instead of starting another;

Simple.

it is established you cannot access on a work computer on a work network

Can you connect at work with a cell or tablet and access?
If not, you are blocked and refer to your IT
If so, your computer is the issue and refer to your IT

That tells you it is something with your cell data provider as your wifi provider it works fine with.

Interesting, also began getting the same notification at work right around the time this thread was started.

I still have this issue when trying to access the site through my phone on AT&T when not connected to wifi.

Forgot to update. Our work was running a proxy server which has been blocked due to some serious spammin(and not the good edible kind..)

We just redid our servers and I now have access again here at the work place. Do you have this same error message Bomb?

a 500 error is on our end. I'll look into it. Might need a db optimize / or we're eating too many cpu cycles again.

That is exactly the message I recently started getting inside of Boeing when I try and access GStwins from work, all my other forum links work, PNWRiders, wr250rforum, FitFreaks Forum....it's not the I.T. guys blocking GStwins IMHO

Yeah definitely not the IT's blocking it. We recently had our severs worked out to communicate with a couple of our new offices. After the work I now have access again. Going to talk with one of my friends that in the IT and see what exactly they did. I'll have to copy/paste his words since networking gets a little over my head

If it is being blocked by your work, have you tried using a proxy server? If that doesn't work you could always try to VPN in to your home computer and accessing it there.

Although I am no sure what privileges you have and what security policies are in place.

Does your computer have wifi? Can you hotspot your phone? If so there is your solution right there :icon_mrgreen: ... As long as you can afford the data!

I'm betting you are behind a proxy.  We block known proxies due to spamming issues.  Since we instituted more rigorous rules we only get one spammer a dat try to sign up.

Companies like Boeing that use a proxy service, will get blocked.  We have code blocking all sorts of things like bots and proxy.  It's either that or open it up to potential spam issues.
There is more to this site than a message board.  Check out http://www.gstwin.com

So does that mean AT&T wireless is going through a proxy?  That's where I'm seeing the issue, when I try to access the site using cellular data through my AT&T phone.  If I'm connected to wi-fi through my phone, it works fine.

jdoorn14

I've heard of stuff like this before with AT&T, where randomly a website will no longer be available. Can't put my finger on another instance to see resolution right at this second though.

This issue is fixed for me as of about 4 days ago.  Hopefully others are able to get on at work and through their cellular data now as well.
