F2/3 rearset brake setups

Just scored a set of F3 rearsets from a friend, but he kept the shift linkage and brake levers. I have the shift linkage on its way from ebay, but wondering what people did about the rear brakes? The stock GS lever looks too long to bolt up, will the f3 lever attach to the gs m/c?
