I never interacted with Patrick but want to share how he had a major influence on my life. I have had a restricted (no more than 250cc) bike license for over 10 years but never had a bike. Recently new laws came in that allow you to have a larger cc bike as long as it fit into the new power to weight restrictions. One day i was looking online at cars and for some strange reason decided to look at bikes. That was when I first laid eyes on a lovely 2010 gs500f. That was it I wanted a bike. Now having very little knowledge about bikes and what was a good buy i started doing some research. That's when I first came across one of Patrick's youtube video's about gs500's. I instantly thought damn this dude is awesome. I started searching for anything he had made and put on youtube. I couldnt watch stuff posted by others as it was just a poor attempt in comparison to how Patrick could explain and show you things. I even told my mate who has ridden for years about them and made him sit and watch Patrick's posts just to share how awesome they were. I knew then that I had to buy that gs500f I had seen. I finally got my gs and I would still sit at home watching patrick's vid's, pausing them and going out and looking at my bike to better understand what he was teaching me. This was a major turning point in my life. I had been suffering depression for sometime yet because of Patrick's charisma and just sheer awesomeness and love for what he was doing gave me much needed inspiration. My life has just kept getting better ever since. I often look at my bike and think about how to do things to it and every time something Patrick had said or done would pop into my mind. To find out about his passing has rattled me deeply. I owe that man for being the inspiration I needed to help me get my life back on track. I have gotten a promotion at work now and that I owe to Patrick. I wish I had gotten to thank him for it. Every time i get on my bike now I always think of him and hope that he can feel the happiness he helped bring to me where he is now. He is the true definition of a Legend.

Had to post this. Have been telling my girlfriend about Patrick and what an awesome person he was. She came over to see me and i showed her the first  youtube post of Patrick's i had watched, "how to remove the fairing". Well after watching it she told me she reckoned she could do it. We then walked out to my bike and i asked her to show me how she would do it then. Now i didnt let her get any tools near my bike however she could tell me step by step everything I had to do and how to do it. That is just yet another example of how awesome Patrick was at sharing his knowledge. My girlfriend is a hairdresser by trade and not mechanically minded. Patrick has left a legacy that will benefit so many people for many years to come. He may be gone but will never be forgotten. Long Live ADDISDASGUY

Quoted for posterity. Patrick was one hell of a teacher. whomever takes over the day to day of the west seatlle club and maybe howto vids, will have a big pair of shoes to fill. although using the Patrick method, id say theyd do just fine

Just logged in after  being a way for a while. I was hoping this was a bad joke. Patrick was always helpful.  Always quick to answer PMs and loved the GS500 more than anybody I have ever heard of.  Ordered a Adidas decal so I can always have a 2wheeled  reppin on my GS.

Am working on either engraving fork.braces, or having them produced in half inch thick alum. Double sided. A thread here about it. No charge for those that desire one. I just want patrick to ride round the world and represent what the ideal person should be like. Ill let you.know when theyre ready
