Thanks everyone for the comments and the warm welcome. I put a Back Off tail light flasher that I had laying around on the bike today. Have them on all my bikes. Best invention ever. If you don't know about them check them out. They flash your lights when you put on the brakes for safety.

Nice bike I love the colors much more than my black bike. They are a tough little bike and with 92 miles on it you have a long time before you'll have any issues with it and I do mean a long time. So just ride it and enjoy it. They're not the fastest and might not give a stiffy when you ride it but one thing is for sure it will not let you down. Ride proud.

I am new here as well. Just picked up a 2008 GS500F in the same color scheme. I got mine for 2500$ too. it has ~7350 miles on the bike. The PO put brand new tires on it recently and was a 60yo engineer who took meticulous care of the bike. Its is in amazing condition. Been riding it for a couple weeks now that the weather has warmed up. Only problem Ive had is i broke the sight glass window on the front brake master cylinder by barely pushing on it while cleaning. Ive heard its a common occurrence on our bikes. Ghetto fixed it until i get the 160$ for a new one.

A little update on the bike.

I put some different bars on it and risers that bring the bars up and back. I wanted a more upright riding position since I have a bad back. Girlfriend wanted it up more also.

I've put some miles on the bike and I love it. Easy handling, good power...very smooth running. Steering is a little quicker with the bar change but still very good handling.

This bike has exceeded my expectations. Originally it was going to be a starter bike for my girlfriend, but I like it so much I think I will keep it for tooling around. :)
