my 2005 gs500

Hi everyone. Im Campbell from Melbourne. Recently purchased this gs500 and decided to modify it a bit.

So for Ive done the following:

Carbon wrapped the tank, fender and rear fairings.
LED indicators
new mirrors
painted the exhaust
painted the tyres

Anyways, passed my test on Thursday so took it for a spin.

So received my HID kit in the post yesterday so went and fitted it.
Also Fitted some decals to make the bike less bland. Currently waiting on red wheel tape and my LED rear tail light unit. 

Didnt like the decals to start with but they have grown on me. Think with the wheel tape it will work well.

Also fitted a Yoshimura sticker to my exhaust to give it even more racing credentials that it doesn't have.

Im gonna do my brakes tonight then going my first big ride tomorrow down the great ocean rd so Ill hopefully get a few good snaps tomorrow. May even use the gopro I got recently.

might all be on hold, was in the middle of doing my led tail light tonight and it just went off. think I heard a click then no power, nothing. Not sure whats up... tried the 20a fuse to no avail.

Maybe yanked a cable out of somewhere by accident?

The fuse that you can see immediately?  Sitting out in plain view? That's the spare...
Or the fuse under the rubber cover thingy? That's the real one!

My excuse is that my garage is poorly lit.

So, went a blast down the great ocean rd. Was my first real ride on the bike. Never really taken it anywhere since I passed my learners test.

Anyways. Bike performed beautifully besides a little brake fade. Gave a couple of guys on a 1100cc blade and a 1200cc Yamaha street bike a good run and managed to loose them in sections where it was tight. They caught me on the big straights though.

All in all a good day. Anyways. I managed to take a few pics whilst I was out. Nothing great but least you can see the bike in the light.

Cheers man. Pretty happy with the way its shaping up but beginning to want a big bike...

Unfortunately the law says I need to ride this for a year after I pass my time so its here to stay. Prob some more mods to come.

I know. I have two years to go on my gs500 untill i can go all out.

Say, can you maybe give me some tips on the wrapping? I want to change te color on my gastank, and am still figuring out what way to do it.
Is it something a bit handy person can do?
