What are these wires for? wiring diagram dismisses them

Looking at these two connectors in my gs500f 2005 and wondered what they are. I cant follow them easily becaise i dont want to disrupt the taping and ties securing it. In the picture you see a 4 pin conector and underneath it a single pin connector.

The single pin connector is disconnected by default and has 12v at it.

The 4 pin connector usually is connected to a jumper connector which connects pins 1 and 2  together with the plastic clip on the left.

Pin1 is at 3Meg ohms to GND
Pin 2 is 12v
Pin 3 is 300 ohms to GND
Pin 4 is 12 v

So pin 1 with its high input impedance suggests iy goes to the CDI box i imagine for anti theft? If it is anti theft, why the single disconnected 12v cionnector and why two 12 v feeds in one connector?

My gs500f is in the middle of a full service so i cant try to start the bike with the jumper disconnected (the starter runs when i press the button) but my carbs are being cleaned and my tank is off etc.

I haven't stared at my wiring long enough to recognize most of the actual connectors; however, I do know which color wires are for what... Are you able to see any colors on those wires? As the Haynes color wiring diagrams are my go to for anything electrical on these bikes.

I use this diagram for my '04.  This diagram is the latest diagram, which I think fully covers '05.  If there is a difference, the only one is the headlight wire that is routed through the starter switch, which my '04 doesn't have... otherwise its the same.

Thinking on this a little bit more, there aren't many 4 pin connectors - maybe its the one for the coils?... which connects coils, starter switch wires and the ignition control unit? - all the wires would be orange/white though

Thank you for your reply, the wires on both the 4 pin and single pin are all black and are not depicted on the above diagram

I'm sorry, I did not notice that part of the title when I first read through this!  :embarrassed:

Edit: Btw, I wasn't aware of any wiring that is anti-theft on these bike though  :dunno_black:
