I'm way out in WEST NJ...so probably won't work for me....plus I work on weekends anyway.

With all of these responses of people further away I'm thinking of doing two rides, one for north jersey folk to poop around for a few hours every week, and one monthly where we spend the whole day doing a ride to get the folks from further out.

We can get the first weekly ride going as soon as we get our schedules, I'm always free on sundays all day and weekdays after 5pm.

FWIW...Probably too far out of the way for you East NJ and  NY guys, and maybe too early....BUT...If anyone is interested, I'd enjoy the company!

Maybe make part of your route somehow coincide with part of this route?



On both this Saturday, and this Sunday I will be making my "standard" ride of 160 miles.

THE ROUTE IS AS FOLLOWS:

Washington~Hackettstown~Newton~Sussex~Colesville~Otisville~Wurtsboro.

This runs through Warren county NJ, Sussex County NJ, Orange County NY and Sullivan County NY.

Some of the most beautiful roads and scenery anywhere!...all county roads, no major highways...

I leave Washington @ 07:30 AM and arrive at Wurtsboro approx 09:45

I make the return trip, leaving Wurtsboro about 4:30 ~ 5:00 PM

Okay, so where is everyone, like i said i'm in lyndhurst. we'll meet up at a central location and we'll drive up through the wooded areas around NW NJ during the day think wanaque/ringwood lots of nice moderate twisties + quiet flat highways where we can speed a bit then head for dinner - we could do it at the hotel i work at (marriott in teaneck nj, get a great discount on some nice food)  then head home.


if anyone has an alternate route lay it on the line, i'm down for whatever. i just want to ride and pretend that i'm in a motorcycle gang and swarm other cars, curse, f%$k around and make some new friends.

I'm in newark but I wont be able to make it. Bike started bucking under acceleration and popping like crazy under decelleration today so I need to figure that out tomorrow. Hopefully next week?
