Hey guys. I recently purchased an action camera and am trying my hand at starting a motovlog. Right now I'm rebuilding my bike for the 3rd time and am mainly using tools and discussing tool and bike related items while doing it. I was hoping to get some feedback from some of the members here at GSTwins.com. I shot about an hour and 10 min of footage in 1080p. This is the first video of my test session with 2 more to go.

Link to my channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxl85BkysCgfSH5KjnaY3mw

Please let me know what you think. All comments are welcome good and bad. I really just need some feed back so I can see what direction I'm heading with this project.

I think I have managed to do what some of you suggested and it worked very well. check out the new cut. I was able to cut Part #1 down to 13 min. It flows so much better.
I added an intro graphic and cut the pictures into the video of the color scheme. Let me know what you guys think now.

Whats up ladies and gents. Episode 1 part 2 just hit the floors hot. The editing went much smoother and tried my hand at some new effects. Check out the video and like comment or subscribe if you enjoyed it. All your feedback greatly apriciated.

Thanks for all your guys comments and advice. If you like the videos stop by the channel and leave a like, comment, or subscribe.

I have a new video for everyone. Your suggestions have been more than helpful. Come on by and check out the channel and if you enjoy what you see, share, like, comment, or subscribe.

Hey guys been lurking here since I bought my GS in 2012 now I think its time I show you the fruits of my labor seeing as how i farmed a lot of good information of this site. I was involved in a bad bike accident in 98 and never thought I would get on a bike again. Broke my back and hip several skull fractures, shattered my jaw, left arm, and right knee and lost the sight in my left eye. I never really even thought about riding again and all of the sudden my neighbor comes and ask me to help him transport a bike he had for sale. I went and picked it up and took it to his sale and asked him what he wanted for it. He said 600 bucks and I did'nt think about it. The guy came and he couldn't get the bike started as it was basically a mess. My neighbor was hard up for money so I offered him 400 bucks and he could leave it in my truck. So the bike was mine. I took the bike into my kitchen and started tearing it apart to clean the carbs and redo some fuel lines and do some general fixing up so i could get it ready for resale. This is the bike after i cleaned it up and got it running with a couple new touch's i decided to do the monster seat conversion on the bike and the forward wiring was just horendous so i got a chinese scooter headlight that was large enough to hold the rats nest. i wasnt ready to tackle the wiring just yet and added some led turn signals and im not sure what the tail light came off of I bought it at a swap meet.

it sat in my kitchen for about 5 or 6 months with me afraid of getting on it, with good reason i might add. As soon as i found an interested buyer for the bike i knew i would have to test ride it and sure enough 15 min later i new i couldnt get rid of it. I rode the bike for about 4000miles till the motor ate a valve shim. Then the work began.
I bought a wrecked 07F with a v and h exhaust and vortex clip on but the kicker was it had a fresh engine with an ingnition advance mod and a big bore kit and port on the head.

So i started striping everything and fitting it to my bike tell me what you think of the rest the pictures speak for them selves. I left the pairing system on the new engine and added a small oil breather filter to it. Also have lunch box air filter with the vance and hines. Jetting is 22 pilot 65 mid main and 147.5 main with clip in 3rd postition and 2 and a half turns out in the mix. Had to go to a digitial tach and had about 45+ hours in the wiring harness. Put a 150 tire on the back and a lithium ion battery. but everything on the bike is now 07 or newer. Except front brake and forks.

Will post up some of my most recent pics as well.

When you say you had the clip in the 3rd position what is the clip your talking about?

syntax_error

I think I ment a number 3 washer not clip in 3rd position lol. To much in my head to type it out correctly.

To everyone else the blue bike is not blue, Its purple. Besides its a GL500 Honda. It looks cool but its a gutless turd. I call it the Musk Ox.

Well I started working on the my mama again stripping her down for a new paint job, pretty much done stripping the tank and main frame. I've been working on it for about 3 days now and their is finally enough progress to update this thread.  I was thinking about doing a white frame  with a black engine and all black accessories.  Or possibly a turquoise or aqua frame with gunmetal grey engine and accessories.  Let me know what you guys think.

Still need to clean up the swing arm, polish the forks, update my tail section supports to 3/4x3/4 square stock now that the rear end is how i like it, strip the rims, take a couple dents out of the tank and paint.

I love the idea of the turquoise or aqua frame! I have seen a fair amount of variations on the black/white combo... I love something different!  :thumb:

Hey guys. Well a couple days ago I purchased a Midland XTC 400 wifi action camera. I took a little over an hour of video of me working on the bike and discussing my plans for the bike. This is my first attempt at a vlog and was hoping to debut it here. I think the filming went very well for the first time around. I have the videos uploading to YouTube at the moment and will post them here when they are finished. Here are some short videos I took with a cell phone camera before I took the bike apart again. I was kinda poking fun at a buddy who has trouble with his Sporty in cold weather.

Here is the bike at idle.

Here is the bike after about 30 sec of idle.

Please let me know if their is any interest in a motovlog with a gs500 with the people of this forum. I hope to be discussing everything from the build of the bike to the lifestyle of riding bikes and beyond. If this is not the place for this I apologize and will keep my further videos I post here strickly about the build of the bike.

Ok guys I have part 1 uploaded and ready to go. Here is the link to my bike into.

I enjoyed the new cut! You could try saving talking about your plans until you're working, but that's just a preference thing.
I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

syntax_error

Thank you very much for your input I will definitely keep that in mind for my next episode.

how about painting the fork tubes to match the new frame?  I never like that worn silverish color on my bikes but I don't have the motivation that you do
