Arjen

Hello my name is Arjen, i am from the Netherlands Europe, and i have a questing about a 06 GS500F.

First i want to say sorry for my English and typos it is not my native languages and using Google translator to translate engine part.

MY bike's camshaftchainthitner broke and my connectingrod run out of place and my crankshaft was damage aswel now i took it to a garage and they say the bike is scrap metal, its is more expensive to fix then to get a other bike, now i was thinking to do a engine swap with a GS500E since the those are easy to find but i am not sure if this can be done the GS500f have a oil cooler and the E don't  and if electric cable tree of the bike Will fit etc.

Hello there my fellow Dutchman

How did the garage conclude that the 'connectingrod' ran out of place and that the crankshaft was damaged?

I would think it should be possible. I have very little experience, though, let some wiser members comment before you make up your mind.
I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

If you do choose to swap in an "F" engine, you will need to also swap in a new tachometer.  The 2004+ GS engines use an electronic tachometer.

Other way Blue, wants to swap a GS500E engine into his 06 GS500F.  Can use 06 ignition generator in E engine so wiring will hook up including tach and plug tach hole in E head.  It's been done.

GSF oil cooler won't work with GSE engine, can do without or possibly look into German conversion to add to E, expensive I think.  Don't see a need for the cooler for my use with or without fairings.
