OK, who out there has in their head the complete list of parts needed from an '89 GS to change a '90 and  later bike over to clip-ons?  Sorry that wasn't a good sentance.

K I'll bite...
5 pieces... the 2 tube pieces, the 2 risers, and the top plate. The rest will all change over. But just for academic interest... all handle bar pieces are different , the master cyl is at a different angle, the switches are longer wires on the 90+ ( I think), the cables are longer, brake line is longer on the 90+.
