These carbs I am working on for wera20 and on both the carbs I have the eclip and needle fall apart as I dis assemble the slides.

I have not seen this happen so far, not just in GS'es but others too ... and this is indicative of very sloppy manufacturing or poor material choice for both needle and clip ... or both.

These have probably been used for 15+ years ... but then I also have 20-25+ yr old bikes with stock needles that you have to press the clips out.

Anyway just keep an eye on this if you have a DJ kit in your bike. Cos if the needle falls out, it will instantly plug the main jet or it may get sucked into the intake and end up in the chamber.

Wera20 != Werase643 ...

is there a pic somwhere of the needle and spacer/doughnut setup somewhere ( an assembled one preferably) as Im not hearing the I need two plastic spacer things on each needle and only one needle actually had two.  Theres only one on the pic in the Haynes book so Im confused (a hand drawn pic will do, Im not fussy, just  a visual learner).

ok found it.  One carb had two needle seats on it.  Don't know if thats a mod to raise the needle height??  I have a full needle set from suzi that arrived last friday.  Maybe I should just build those up and drop them in.  (they go through the centre hole though, right?)

Naaa we cant do that. Besides he got a new woman now.  :D

This 'Shine' cant be sent over state lines, let alone to another country. In fact they don't like me shipping stuff in old alcohol boxes.

On an 89-00 bike its a #4 washer.
On a 01+ I actually prefer to use a O ring. I think its 1/16 X 1/8 th. Or 1.5mm X 3mm.
Or I can measure and let you know to be sure.
