Finally am home. beat the sepsis infection. next 48 hours will determine if kidneys were harmed at all from the antibiotics. have 4 doc appointments in5 days. got to find bus fare. . then 3 more following week. one of the main ones is the ortho. have to see how bone union is doing and when i can begin walking and for PT.

Septicemia is a mother to treat. my mind was scrambled from the infection, and the treatment protocol. on 2 more weeks of antibiotics. if i dont follow it exactly, it could return and prove fatal. doctors werent kidding. so i will. next 48 hours will tell me if treatment was toxic to my kidneys. this happened before in 2007. kidneys shut down. for 24 hours. man im a mess. lol. heres to getting and STAYING better.

while i was being treated for the septicemia ( which started from a staph infection), i was put on a 2k calorie diet. noticed the effects from this. not all skin and bones from waist up. bottom half of me still is from muscle atrophy. that will be a long drawn out process. but as soon as im cleared to bear weight on it/them, in about 6 weeks, will then start seeking employment. unless i can find something sooner that doesnt require me moving around. have to call ortho tomorrow ( or wait til appt friday) and get an ankle brace for left foot. which had the pillion fracture. its hurting like hell when i use it. he had me transfer the moonboot to right foot since they removed cast. will try to get a brace of some sort friday. btw weight went up to 141. going to try to keep it at 140 maybe 135, until im on my feet. this killed me financially, but im stubborn, ill make it once i clear these medical hurdles. heres to survival. prayers needed on the septicemia issue. if i do it right the last round of antibiotics SHOULD take care of it. 2 pills every 6 hours for 2 weeks.

not liking this 6 hour dosing schedule. but as dr chuk and pharmacist said in plain english " do it or die" so i will. have to for 10 days then see a nephrologist an endocrinologist and their dr. ( hosp) at same time. plus i have to avoid at all costs getting sick. this septicemia killed my immune system. so i have to take it extremely easy for 10 days. i will beat this i hope. am too stubborn to give up lol.. anyhoo mind is kinda confused atm so bed time for me. talk to yall tomorrow err today later on

up early for the antibiotic use. cant miss this. so i got bored and googled something. i finally figured out what a "hospitalist" was.   Dr. Chukwumba is one. saw alot of him over past few days

Ortho rescheduled appt for tomorrow instead of late friday. said something about what they saw in CCU past saturday. will update when i know something tomorrow.

EJ was getting ready to pm you lol and figure out what or where you were my friend. tomorrow after pain doc i go to ortho to discuss  legs.  figure out how far back the septicemia set my bone unions back. major update tomorrow. cause i pick up my xrays and labs. including the last ones which were done day of parole lol. these records are free. which is cool. i have time to kill between docs so i can get them then. if ortho tells me of a non union, ill return and grab those.
scrounging up bus fare. i want to see if ortho will allow me to work in some limited fashion. cause this boredom is killing me lol. anyhoo updates to come. weight is climbing. will be back on trqck when PT begins and i build muscle again.

Remember what i said about kidney issues? im concerned. ive drunk almost 64 oz of sugar free kool-aid yet only peed maybe 6oz in 24 hours. and ive got 7 days left on this antibiotic cycle. no choice there. but ortho called me in early anyways so ill know something by 3pm. will update further

good news on pain doctor. that went well. confirmed surgery date on spinal cord stimulator. will have to get the mri safe leads because of bad news from ortho surgeon. no evidence of bone growth. only thing holding fibula fracture together is the titanium plate and screws. no growth at all. doc was worried. IS worried. i return in 3 weeks.  if nothing then i go under the knife again. the high platelet count very high. along with damage from the septicemia has screwed me. 3 weeks more of non weight bearing MINIMUM. dammit now im petrified. either they use a bone growth stimulator or they remove the fibula entirely and i make use of the tibula alone, or a bone graft. damn i didnt need this. needed to get back to work lol. still do . still have that course of antibiotics to finish. if that fails im screwed there. i picked up my labs, my xrays and all reports. it all started with a pressure ulcer.  dont think i can blame anyone on that. except for myself. Dr reat is one of the best in the country. my bones are not/will not cooperate. will update with that xray from the 19th when i went into CCU. da*n i didnt need this.only positive note on this is that with cast off i can take a warm shower. still am petrified tho. will update with images and labs later on. there was 21 pages of it.

I been on a away-job so communications is sketchy. I just been checking here when I can get a wifi feed and a few minutes of slack-time.
Expecting some relief from all this work in mid November.

By Thanksgiving time I should be home again and have a few bucks to spare.

ive come to the realisation theres a good chance that i may become a monopod out of this. mentally ive nearly given up. theres a few options doc was telling me of. it healing is minimal. no signs after 4 weeks.. now repair wise they could remove the fibula. ( bone with plate) or use a bone growth stimulator using electromagnets. however if bone is not even trying this may not even be worth persuing. theres a bone graft using bone from hip, surgery again with another plate. but with bone not trying well with the gap in the bone its likely to develop osteomyelitis. a bone infection.  cause marrow has a direct connection tobacteria. if that happens it can become lethal. qquickly. there amputation ,  ie a monopod which would give me a good reason to build a gs with sidecar ,  ill be ib chair for 3 more weeks minimum MINIMUM.  when i figure out how or why the pics arent uploading to my pb acct, ill post the tibia side it shows the gap clearly. and why ortho was worried. got to call dr reat in am and get chair okayed for another month. i dont have avail. funds to cover rental. but with note, insurance will. i need to find work NOW. to keep mind sane. this was news i saw coming tbh. am surprised CCU at hospital did not. hell i found it while doc was out of room. if anything my financial ship is sinking fast. i may find a volunteer position at hospital. ie something i can do while im wheelchair bound. anyhoo more to come later on tonight. am still looking over reports. i was looking at films while doc was out as he came back in i said dr reat um theres evidence that bone is not doing anything at all.

Update:  ortho, no progression of bone union as of yet when i went to pick up ankle brace for left ankle ( pilion fracture) the appointment  which was scheduled for thursday was not moved for thursday. next opening was for monday. i said " i dont see a problem with this ill take it" as i was preparing to leave , nurse paged me saying due to critical nature of the non progression of RIGHT ankle spiral fracture they got me in in 5 minutes. my mind is gone. i swear im glad i dont drink anymore      will update soon.

3 weeks to go til we figure out whats next on the table ( besides my left ankle. ) i wished ortho had said nothing except " okay will see you in 3 weeks" he says " it shows no signs of union ( growing together) , nor do i forsee anything happening. " im like DUUUUUUDE stfu . i dont feel as though there is anything amiss unless i ambulate ( walk to bathroom. a distance of 40ft and ankle moves to inside or out. course there was some nerve damage as well. so it may be a blessing or a curse. or a cursed blessing. im at the point of mentally giving up. and dont want to go there lol. but when ortho came in and had as an expression and not or ( he always smiles. something isnt right. Am sorry my friends to unload my lifes story on yall like this. but youre the only friends ive got that arent after my pain meds lol. and those ppl are no longer welcome in my home. anyhoo next major update  will be day  i find oujt what plan is. how this will be repaired if it can be repaired.  if they have to replate it i DO want the old one lol. anyhoo major update in 3 weeks unless im either called in sooner or im in hosp again. its pretty bad when im on a first name basis with most of the staff there. or better yet if it gives you a time frame, out of the month of august, i was in hosp.  just shy of 2 weeks. ( postwhoring from CCU due to septicemia a blood infection. thank GOD it wasnt osteomyelitis sepsis infection of the bone. . course with the non unionising bone its wide open for this to happen. if i dont halt any infection in right leg which is what in working on now. then i always have it seems an episode of DKA ( diabetic keto acidosis) basically my bloodsugars go from 120ish to north of 1500. so have to stay vigilant there too. and now i AM doing my best to follow Dr. Reats instructions. to a T going tomorrow to stop use of pain meds for 48 hours. so i can get an accurate gauge of pain levels. anyhoo bout got lab numbers crunched. will update that asap. some interesting stuff there. .
