Sounds like the clutch isn't engaging.

Did you do a 3 point cable adjustment?

Is the chain installed?
sorry, had to ask, lol!

Did you replace the clutch springs and friction disks when you replaced the plates? or were they well within spec?

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

I checked all of this and it was all good still dont know whats wrong

Does it not go into gear as in you can't shift? Can you shift? Or is the issue more that the clutch won't engage?

Did you recently replace the clutch or do some kind of service in there?

fred97

Sorry ya it does not engage and clutch plates and friction playes were replaced. Have hanes manual.

Hey guys, what is a 3 point cable adjustment?

Oh, I found a discussion thread by searching

Is the thrust bearing (item 14) in place?

fred97

Ya it is. Could it have anything to do with how burnt the clutch plates were when i replaced them.

fred97

Could i have over tightened toe skrews if so what would be the correct lbs in torque.

When I rebuilt my clutch a few years ago,  I remember I had to take it apart again as something in the clutch basket was not fully seated and was preventing the clutch from engaging. I cant remember exactly what, maybe the last plate. Also seen a couple threads about broken push rods on here but I think that would be the opposite effect.

You are going to have go back and recheck everything you have done  :dunno_black:
