I want to get an idea on what my bike will sell for. I am located in Northern Indiana/Chicagoland area.

Bike is all stock, aside from the levers and I still have the stock one. Bike only has 5300 miles, has newer tires, Continental contiGo, front has 500 miles, rear has 1500 miles. Chain and sprockets are still in excellent shape.

there is light plastic damage near the left turn signal from the previous own, and there is damage on the right crankcase cover from a friend dropping my bike on the ground in the gravel while trying to move the bike.

Other than what was said the bike is in excellent shape, and runs like a top. Oil has been changed twice since I purchased bike both changes I replaced the filter. I just put in a new battery 1 week ago. and both of the carbs have been cleaned and adjusted.

Location location location ...

I see them sub 1500 in the south east. Maybe in CA they are more but recently there have been 2 guys that found them for 15 or there abouts. One is biting the bullet later this week.
Cool.

Thanks Buddha, updated my initial post.

I don't remember seeing much mentioned about the Conti-Go on here but that was my first tire... wasn't bad! I got 6000 noob-style miles out of it so I had no complaints (except for the lame name) LOL

Good luck if you do decide to sell !!
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

If it didn't have the plastic damage, a nice condition low mileage GS like that would go for around $2500 here in the Pacific Northwest. I would expect somewhere around $2300 with the scratches. Keep in mind you will probably get the most money if you sell in late spring.

Buddha is right though... location location location.

Norfolk is a few hours 1 way, I've bought bikes from there before. 09/10 I got tempter from there.
I've also got more than 1 from Richmond which is about the same distance and a good many from WA DC area.
A $400 maxim comes to mind. It was minty for a 20 yr old bike, and I carried my concoction of carb cleaner, told the seller to microwave it and give to me (that clown went to his apt 20 floors up zapped it and it was luke warm when he got back) - anyway - split the fuel lines, stick a funnel in it and pour it in. 400 miles of agitation later, drain and vroom vroom.
Many awesome deals in the 300-400 mile radius.
I did go clean into NYC for my second last bike The 2000 MZ.
And didn't leave my couch for the next MZ the 96 (delivered from RI for $350 by transporters, paid 400 for the bike). Under 8 in a MZ needing what else - carb work. Even had decent tars.

Last spring I got my 2000 GS500e for $1500. I got it from a guy in Wicker Park. It ran fine, but needed tires had similar scuffs and mileage. It seems like pretty much anything with two wheels that runs and has a clean title can get at least $1000 in this area.

Yours is half the age, but won't be twice the price I don't think. Now is probably a tough time to sell it for $2500+. If you can wait until spring there seems to be a lot more interest on CL. Now, I'd say $2000 would get it out of your driveway in a hurry.
