Looks very "Transformer-ish", but when the "visor" is down, how do you see out of that thing?  Reminds me of Ironman - looks cool, but is it functional?

my friend has one but the actual iron man colours with red and gold, he says the visor and bottom piece is fully adjustable, he says the viewing angle is great for what it is.

Is that Masei? Ice reported them repeatedly to eBay for keyword spamming. I was trying to shop for pads for two of my helmets and their ads kept coming up because they list completely unrelated brand names in their titles.

eBay did nothing so I think Masei is extremely popular ($ talks).

I'd be interested to hear your impressions on air flow -- a major factor in my area. Congrats!

... he says the viewing angle is great for what it is.

I would be concerned about sacrificing visibility for fashion.  If I saw you take a spill while wearing that helmet I would probably assume it was caused by your taste in helmets...

It looks like it is going to cut out it peripheral vision.  That thing in the middle might make perceiving depth more difficult...

Masei 610. They are DOT approved but not EU approved, consequently........illegal for highway use in the UK and everywhere else in Europe for that matter  :dunno_black:

So in answer to the question...`what do you think`.....well.....if you want to ride around looking like a di** in an illegal and possibly unsafe lid making yourself a target for every clued up traffic cop in Manc`.....knock yourself out  :thumb:

Not particularly my style, but i am interested to know that u think of it after testing.

Yep, would definitely not use it with the visor down. Looks great (on the shelf) otherwise.

Ride it like a 2 stroke:
1: Rev high
2: Add oil
3: Repeat

Looks like a solution looking for a problem to me.

Looks like the whole front is purely cosmetic, they just bolted a iron-man face to a 3/4 style helmet.  Personally, I gotta have a full chin-bar on my helmets, all or nothing IMHO.  I don't really understand 3/4 or half helmets anyway, I've gone down once already and got very lucky with the amount of damage I received, mostly thanks to the level of gear I was wearing.  I couldn't imagine not having something rigid between my face and the concrete...
But the major area of concern is the big "nose guard" and narrow lens.  Looks like you'd really be cutting your field of view off.

I'd never sacrifice safety for style, plenty of helmets look awesome while remaining very protective.  I love my Icon Variant for this.

The iron-man look is cool, but I'd never wear that.  It's just me, though.  If you like it, feel safe in it, and can deal with the limitations it may offer (if any), then ride on!  But to me it looks like nothing more than a novelty and an accident waiting to happen.
Might be cool to wear at an event or something, but for actual street riding I'd be very hesitant.

Buried away at the bottom of the page is this.......

Buyer Please Note Before Placing Order:
1) Certificate:
This Helmet is DOT approved, but NOT approved with EC.
European buyers may buy this for novelty but not for road driving.

OP needs to wise up, consider the legalities of his actions and the safety implications and realise his responsibilities not just to himself but to other road users.
I hope one day he will but until then do all us sensible bikers a favour Dowdy and keep your distance........you are giving us a bad name.

Here is a tip for you though, buy something off this list....(Note that nothing made by Masei is on it)

Yeah, they're right.  Look at the picture, and imagine the flip-down visor removed.  Now imagine the chin bar removed.
What you have left is a very low-tech plain jane 3/4 helmet, circa 1972.

Congrats on the new helmet!!  I too want to hear what ya think of it once you get it and try it out.  Ya never know until you try!

I constantly get questions about visibility with my helmets as well... sure the customizing I've done to my helmets cuts down on visibility a bit but I mainly ride around with my visor up and goggles/glasses on anyway.

Be sure to let us know how it works out for you!!
