Tire valve problem

I tried checking my tire pressure today. I put the fronts to 32psi and when I went to go check the back, I put the air hose on the valve and it didn't let any air through. I tried two different air pump connectors on my compressor. Tried both of the connectors on the front tire and they read 32psi,Cnut when I stick it on the back one, nothing happens no pressure, the valve isn't opening to let air flow. Could it be too tight maybe?

Could be tight or old or full of crud .

To test you can depress the little centre plunger bit with a screw driver tip or key tip, see if air hisses...

If not then you can use a valve tool to remove and see if it lets air out then? .. possibly a previous owner used one of those emergency sealer liquid kits in it?

Or possibly you just aren't hitting the right angle and pressure with the air hose,  the rear is restricted access and it can be a pain at times!

Eventually you might get sick of the access issues and install some right angled valve stems, does make it easier.

If you are out of your depth on this one just go to any car tyre shop and ask them to change the valve core, you might be lucky, it takes minutes and costs pennies.

But and as mentioned if the P/O has filled the tyre with slime or some other such shite it becomes more involved.

Wheel off, tyre off, clean the slime off, repair puncture, replace valve, tyre back on, wheel back in........bend over, adopt the position  :D
