I hope it's true what it says ...and this biker really did get justice. Wow  :2guns:

Link worked.  That guy shouldn't be a cop!

Big Rich

If i'm not mistaken, that officer was pulled out of rotation as a patrol cop and made a Sargeant (and assigned to a desk).

That being said, let's just remember that the police force as a whole do a very thankless job, and there are millions of hours of video footage of them doing the job right.

This cops behavior isn't representative of the average cop.  But it doesn't seem to matter what job or how high up the chain you go, you can always find people who are terrible at their job, don't care, and/or are ill-suited for that type of work.

Just a fact of life I guess but it is disheartening.

ShowBizWolf

I totally agree with both of you... it certainly can be a thankless job. People want the police to protect them and go after law-breakers but never want to get "in trouble" themselves when breaking the law (speeding, parking tickets, etc)... and no matter what job a human being has, they are still a human being.

One of my best friends is a police officer and I'd be dumbfounded if she ever acted like this fella did. I worry about her a lot and keep her in my prayers because you just never know what's out there.

Just thought I'd share the vid for discussion. I know most of the time I drive/ride like a granny (lol) but there have been times I've punched it down and enjoyed a bit of a thrill... passed someone legally and whatnot... and I'd hate for the consequences to include being rear-ended, kicked in the chest (in my case, bewbs) and a gun pointed at me.  :nono:

Insane. I've seen this video floating around, I can't imagine what was going through that cops head.

I've had mostly good experiences with cops, have a chief in the family (distant-ish), and most of them are regular good guys/gals. I do think writing tickets is too much of a "business" and that really irks me, but that's a bigger problem than any individual officer.

ShowBiz I'm pretty sure if anyone kicked you in the "bewbs" most of us would gladly kick them in the "teef". Don't mess with tha GS!

My opinion FWIW is that the rider had obviously stopped, was unarmed (open hands) and obeying instructions to "get down" as he had started to drop.
The rear ending and kick were totally unnecessary despite the speeding.
I understand that POs over there always pull out their gun as they cannot be sure that the offender is unarmed.
The PO has received a big penaly for excessive use of force which he must personally pay (not covered by the Force) to the rider.
As it should be IMHO.

PS: We are lucky in the Land of Oz that there is almost NO chance of that happening, even in Queensland !!!!

True enough, we won't get a gun to the face, but we still get the jacked-up, fuckwit cowboys who think that anyone on the road on 2 wheels is asking to be pestered. I've been harassed on the bike by the highway patrol out here in Central NSW. Some just sit about 3 inches off the back wheel, others overtake you on your side of the road and then brake check you afterwards, others just try to wind you up by being deliberately difficult on the road (60 through the corners, floor it on the straights and overtaking lanes).

That said, they are very much the minority. For every time I've been given a hard time, I've been waved on through a breath test, or given the thumbs up to wind the old girl out to get around some B-Doubles or Grey Nomads.

I've never thrown a motorcycle at someone, but kicking women seems like a pretty good reason to try.
