anyone going to upgrade their -2002 bikes with the oil cooler/pan and maybe caliper? For the race bike I'm thinking about the former unless the cost is just rediculous.

The GS has had lugs cast into the head to accept an oil cooler for some time (including my '96), but none exists on the aftermarket that I've been able to find.  The local dealer has, to my knowledge, never stocked a GS since he bought the former owner out about 7-8 years ago.  A salesman asked me about mine, and I had to describe it to him.  I expect no help from him regarding retrofitting the '04's cooler to earlier models.  Perhaps our European friends can help shed a little light on this (or one of us Yanks who has a good relationship with a knowledgeable dealer).  For most areas of this country an oil cooler is a worthwhile investment for any air and oil-cooled bike.
