Thursday arrived home after 9,200kms road trip from Hamilton Ontario
Through Detroit, Chicago, I80 to Omaha and up I29 to Sioux Falls, I90 South Dakota, Badlands, Yellowstone Park, Montana, Washington and up into British Columbia via Grand Forks and onto Kamloops BC.
Return along Trans Canada highway through The Rockies and onto South Baymouth Manitoulin Island to catch the ferry over to Tobermory and on home to Hamilton.
Wiggles ( my stead) packed like a camel and did not flicker once... well, other than when the State Trooper in Wyoming decided I had broken the law and pulled me over  :icon_razz:
Many MC club members Hells Angels, Aces and Eights on their fany Victory and Harley and Goldwings looked at me oddly when i pulled up for gas beside them... but Wiggles did me proud :D
Here is the Flickr my site. Please let me know if you can see all 395 pictures and what you think, cheers guys

Awesome trip. Sounds fascinating. How long did it take you, and where did you stay? Pictures would be amazing.
Back on bikes and loving it.

Bluesmudge

Count me in for wanting pictures and a more detailed ride report. I would also like to know what, if any, mods you did to the GS to make it more useful/comfortable on such a long trip.

I am planning to take my GS two-up on a 4,000 mile trip in September.

ron freeman

Cool deal. I trust my GS way more than I do my Harley and I ride it a lot more often. Sounds like a cool trip.

Mr. BIGGZ

You know what they say.... If we don't have pics it never happened.  ;)

prmas

Sounds like you had a great time.  :thumb:
That was a heck of a trip but I would trust my GS to do it too.

I tried to load pics but won't accept them, my son is going to help me load them to a site... I'm lots older than you guys and need help how to upload etc

Big Rich

I prefer to upload pics to Photobucket, but there are other options as well.

Sounds like a great trip! I'm jealous.

How old are you TaffyMorris?  I'll be 84 next month and am typing this post all by myself  :icon_lol: and rode my GS past my 82nd birthday.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Coolio! I was thinking of trying something like that too. Any tips on what to pack?

See that kids? 50,000 miles and the GS is still capable of speeding!

Encouraging stuff. I'm planning on a few thousand km's journey in a couple of months but I might extend it. Some beautiful scenery there. But that speeding fine ticket, I can't believe that they have a box for 'race'!

Love the piccies, and in particular love the dragon. Did you paint it or is it a decal?
