Possible Clutch issue

I managed to drop my bike for the first time yesterday. I lapse in concentration ended with me panic braking and though I came to a stop alright I couldn't keep the bike upright and my 2008 GS500F ended up on its right side. I was able to pick the bike up again, but when I was starting it in gear the bike pulled a bit despite the clutch being fully engaged. Fast forwards a few hours and I was trying to start the bike to go to work. When the bike was in gear and the clutch was pulled the starter did not move at all. If I put the bike into neutral I can hear the starter motor working, but not engaging to start the bike. My thought is that something in the drop caused the clutch linkage slip or detach. Are there any specific things you guys can think of for me check first?
