2005 GS500F Frame Petcock Rebuild Kit?

Hello all,

Long time GS500F owner (first street bike) and I'm pretty sure that I was on this forum many years ago...

Anyway, my 2005 GS500F was not ridden too much the past few years.  I took the old girl out and, after getting her fixed up and running, came to the realization that the frame mounted petcock is leaking.  It appears to be on the diaphragm side so I'm assuming lack of use caused cracked and/or hardened rubber.

I can't seem to find a rebuild kit for the 2005 GS500F model.  I've done a search here and couldn't find anything concrete.  There was some gossip that K&L Supply Fuel Petcock Repair Kit 18-2763 may fit but no one could confirm.

I'd prefer not to spend $100.00 on a new one, if I can avoid it.

Anyone have info on a rebuild kit or some other mechanic hack on getting it to stop leaking?

Many thanks in advance!!!

I'm afraid I can't be of much use, but this thread has a picture of the '05 petcock disassembled, so you might be able to identify which component is causing your issue by process of elimination?

I've realised I was talking utter trash earlier!! Sorry. I subscribe to a dude on youtube, delboy's garage. He rides a gsf1200 and did this video

Combining both of these links I have deduced that the innards of your fuel tap is extremely similar to that of his bandit. Maybe worth checking out?
