Hey guys, I am in need of some help here. I am having carby issues with my bike. the right hand cylinder is not firing until I hit at least 1/4 throttle. so far I have done the following with no avail.

completely broken down and cleaned the carbys (including jets and slides)
inspected the diaphragms, needles
played with the Idol
adjusted the air fuel mix
replaced a vacuum hose (had hole in it)
swapped the spark plugs
swapped around the coils
engine compression test
valve clearances
run the engine at idol with the air mix screw completely removed (recommended to try by mechanic.)

all any of this has achieved is backfiring that will bring the police around thinking I have shot someone but I did this to isolate the problem to just the carbys.

I'd sync the carbs to make sure they are both pulling the same amount of air through.

0-1/8 throttle is pilot jet. The choke also uses the pilot circuit - Oh, what year carbs ?
Sorry, pilot seems clogged still.
Cool.

She is on 05. Turns out that it was a faulty vacume hose that runs between the carbs and the fuel petcock. who would of thought something so simple would cause such heart ache.

89-00 that line went to the left carb, that was why I was asking what year. Simple yes, but also very very common.

Cool.
