Which of these screws holds the valve-needle seat in?

2007F with 22k NY/NJ miles. Stock exhaust/airbox. Rejet to 20/60/132/one o-ring/1.25 turns out, +2 mojo

The float needle valve seat is held in by friction, via the o-ring. There's no screw.

Presuming you are talking about #21 on the diagram.

valve needle seat, has an oring that holds it in place, fiction fit. if you're having trouble getting one out without damaging it, good luck, if you figure it out let everyone knw please.  ;)

Not on a 01 and later guys.
The screw does hold it in, I cant look in the drawing @ work, so someone else may have to tell him.

right, i found a post from you in 2006, on the interwebs, saying that it's held in by "a screw with a big washer", anyone bueller

Could it be #28?. It's labeled as a pilot jet 170, but the image looks like a screw, not a jet?

Well, the pilot jet is more screw shaped than the mains...

I think it's #22, but I've always had pre-2k3 bikes so I'm not 100%.  Just seems to be in the proper position right by #21 (needle valve assy).


But if it's a screw why even bother with OEM?
Take your carbs to ACE and size out a screw that will work.  Take the guess work out and be finished "now".  Might not be the "right" screw but if it works it still works, right?
