Gorgeous! There are a few SV650s with that colour schene (no cream, just the copper), and they are magnificent looking!

The first bits came back from the powder coater today, they did a great job on the wheels, new bearings and the tyres on and they'll be good to go!

I got the tyres mounted and disks on this week which is a step forwards, they need a good clean though!

I also got the base coat and clear on my tank. BMW pepper white, it needs a wet sand but is coming together!

I'm really behind on my threads, but hot damn! This is one I will be watching! Great job!  :cheers:

A new headlight arrived from China today, it had led indicators built into it so will help keep things streamlined!

oooooo I've always liked the idea of those headlights... and the looks too!!

I wonder how easy it is for oncoming people to see the signal when it's flashing. I bet there are some pics on google I can search for. Loving the updates moto!!!

I got the frame back from the blaster yesterday, finally! And have been filling in nicks and pits with JB weld before it gets powder coated, this is the first time I've done this so fingers crossed it comes out ok!

looking gooooood  :thumb:

i used to have a morgan garage directly opposite my house so there was always unusual cars about, kind of miss it actually. off topic haha but yeah hope you remembered to scrape the powder coating back off the mating surface for the disks :cheers: a lot of people forget.

with the 160, how are you planning to offset the front sprocket for chain clearance? the rear is easy enough with a big spacer but the gs has an awkward countershaft due to it using the circlip rather than nut. ( my bad if you've already mentioned it ) think my plans to drill and tap the end so i can shim it 3mm when i switch back to road tyres.
current project list:
//cbr 600 f3 fighter
//gsxr 1100 mental oldskool supersport
//gs500 daily rat tracker cafe fighter that changes every couple of month... cafe fighter?

To be honest i hadn't considered it, from reading other people's experience they haven't needed too.

That being said I will see how it fits on the bike , if i need to i will made up a spacer on the lathe.

The previous owner of my bike welded on the front sprocket in their infinite wisdom. Idiot.

So I'm either going to have to rebuild the bottom end with a new output shaft, or get another engine, at which point I'll sort out the spacing issues, hopefully it all goes together nice and easy.

Today I've made up the rear led light bucket for the sub frame, now I've just got to cut a slot in my nice new subframe..  :s

A bit of JB weld and some powder coat and it'll be good enough!

That is cool as hell. Cant wait to see what it looks like with the bike all put together.

gregjet

I do like that stop/brake light.
How you gonna attach the liscence plate and light though?

Suzi Q

That's hot! Impressed you managed a cut that straight using a hacksaw and no jig!
