Engine swap

Does anyone know the different engine models that would fit into a 1990 gs500e, if any ?

Pretty sure any gs500 motor from 1989 till the latest year is a straight swap. I have a 91 motor in my 2009 chassis! I just swapped the motor and kept all the newer electrical parts.

All GS500 years will fit ('89 - '09 in the USA). I believe it was 2000 and 2003 that had no GS500s.
1999 was the last year of the original the wiring harness, tachometer, and carburators so if you use a 2001+ engine you will need to accommodate those changes.

There was a 2000. Just no 03 in US.
