But yeah, GS needs to be revved pretty good to get going. I tried going +2 on the rear sprocket just because of how much I dont like the GS500's lack of torque off the line. SV650 probably has double the torque of the GS at low rpms.
Blue, how did you like this set up?  How about at higher speeds?  Just curious as mine is great at speed, but off the line unless I rev up, I think my grom clone would spank it.

I like it because it's not as severe as a -1 on the front sprocket. If I'm going to go on a multi day tour I can still throw a 17t front sprocket on but this setup seems like a great compromise around town.

125psi on both after 5 or or cranks. manual says 114 is the limit for one so we aren't quite there and both cylinders are equal so it'll be a bit down on power I guess but its done 45k.

manual goes on to say if both are below 142 it needs a rebuild though...

carbs off, plugs out, battery charged up.

cold engine, maybe 7 degrees c outside today so probably a smidge higher if it was warm - I doubt it'll find 17more psi though.

tempted to try 130 mains and put the needle into the middle position. i'll put the 125s back in for now.

update! cranking off an another battery (formerly off the SV, few years old) bought the PSI up to 140 cold. pretty happy if it was warm it would be at ~142 - so at the bottom end of things but probably not critical yet.

I feel like 125s are a notch small on my GS, runs out of steam before hitting the top end as much as I think it should. Probably gonna try some 127.5. Midrange is fine so I'll leave the needles in the stock position.

The 14t sprocket made the drop off in top end much more noticeable.
