You're talking about the shock linkage ?
Anyway most power transmission places (motion pro etc in the US) have bearings by dimension and type.
Cool.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and staying safe.
I've recently picked up a 2005 GS and whilst stripping and rebuilding the rear suspension, I've come across this "cushion lever" which hasn't been maintained at all, absolutely seized solid, so much so that the sleeves have corroded excessively also.
I don't really want to pay the stealers £200 for bearings and sleeves and I can't find a second hand one for my particular year.
Could anyone enlighten me as to which, if any, other years would fit?

Thank you.

Can you post a parts fiche diagram indicating what part you are talking about? I'm not sure based on your description.

All GS500 rear suspension components are interchangeable across all years (1989 - 2009+). So if its something you can get off a donor bike in good condition then have at it from any year.

Bearings 2,3 or 4 probably 😊

Oh the bearings in the knuckle? Just buy a used knuckle off ebay from a lower mileage bike. You can get the whole thing in good shape for like $10 or $20. I see on ebay right now the entire rear suspension with knuckle, shock, and dog bones for $25 shipped.

All years are compatible with all years. 1989 had the fancy aluminum version.

This is exactly why you own a GS500. Parts are cheap, plentiful, and compatible.

I paid, $8 USD shipped for my comfort lever, Ebay. The bearings had old grease, but not corroded. The bushings were included.

Thank you very much for the info.
It is indeed the knuckle bearings.
I kid you not, I can't find a replacement from a UK seller. Plenty from the US, but I just wanted to be a bit more sure before I pay more for delivery than the actual part.
Thanks again.
Hope the coronavirus isn't affecting you all too much.

Those needle bearings aren't too $$$ or hard to find when I bought some - swingarm but same concept.
If the inner race is boogered you need a used part, else the bearing will do.

Yes, my inner race is absolutely shot.
I've ordered a replacement knuckle from the US, fingers crossed. I did try my local motor factor for bearings, but even their supplier could match the bearings.
Thanks again for the info.
Much appreciated.
