Looking at a fairing one GS500 with 21K miles, is it too much or not at all?

Appreciate any help and advise.

Don't consider that high mileage LoL.

My 2002 now has 72k
2002 GS500 105K mi

Mileage is like age... it's all a state of mind  :D

A well maintained 72k mile like Josh's is way better than a new bike that's been left in the rain and never ridden nor maintained.

It all depends on what mechanical condition it's in.  Lots of details on this forum on how to shop for a used bike.

2007 GS500F Cafe Fighter - cut off the tail, K&N lunchbox, short exhaust, 20/60/140 jets, R6 shock, all sorts of other random bits...

Get it... (if it seems good).
21k is quite moderate mileage.
Beam me up Scottie....

Thank you all, appreciate the help.

Seems like a fine GS500 if the price is right and you are willing to get your hands dirty and have some mechanical skill.

I agree, that isn't much mileage at all but it does depend on what kind of miles they were. How much are they asking?
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

It sits more of a naked.

Bluesmudge

If you are looking for a project I would go for it.
2 or 3 pieces of the front fairing in good condition are worth $300 on their own. You could always convert to naked and sell the front plastics to finance the project.

That bike in good running order would be worth ~$1800 so there is $1500 to play with before it was a bad investment. Either way you get a GS500 which is always a good investment.

It sits more of a naked - as the 2nd picture and seller is asking $300.

Jump on it or pass? There's body damage to left turn signal and main nose fairing area.

No its terrible ... terrible.
You wouldn't have the guys number handy would you ... ahem for proper disposal.

WTF you doing standing here and posting. Run dammit before he starts to look up street values of GS'es.

Cool.
