Ive been on here longer than most.  was Texmirage way back when.  but thanks.
I was having trouble logging in to tap talk so I can post pics of the bike. then it all got messed up so I created anew account.  thinking it would fix the tap talk. but it didn't.

What bike is the wheel set from ? CBR1000 ?
How you got the rear to fit in the actual question. FE swaps with the wheel would make the front wheel fitment a very easy deal. As in, the wheel goes with the FE, swap FE and wheel from donor is the best bet.
Cool.

Id FE a reference to gs500f / gs500e ???

I literally just bolted it up.  made the adjustment on the brake caliper first. the rotor would be centered to the caliper.
after that I did a bit of measuring from the bearing to the caliper bracket spacer, cut some off and that was the whole thing.

I literally did front and back in about hours from start to finish...

here is the kicker (down fall)  stock rear gear is a 39 on the gs. the donor is a 46 rear sprocket.  top end will be greatly reduced. I willing to guess sub 100 is the top in. but should wheelie fairly easy.

this is a Hyosung 250 swap.
Steering bumps stops are a bit of issue. I'm going to do a bit of work on them this weekend.

I had always assumed the Hyosung GT250 was 50% engineering purchased on discount from Suzuki. The frames between the Hyosung GT250 and Suzuki GS500 look 100% the same. I never knew they were so similar that the front end and wheel would swap as well. Let us know how the front suspension performs. It wouldn't be hard to be better than the GS500 front end.

I think this means that most non-engine parts from a Hyosung GT250 should swap over to a GS500 with minimal modification (rearsets, plastics, etc).

sorry for a slow reply but I don't get on here much.

Although the frame look similar that are definitely different.  remember the hyo is a Vtwin so the middle of frame is taller to accommodate that.

I believe only suspension parts would be the only easy swap parts.

I have put the rearsets from the GT250 on my GS. The mounting holes were the right size but I had to slot the bottom ones to fit them. The mount for the rear master cylinder was right for the GS master cylinder but I did have to shorten the pushrod.
The frames on the GS and GT do look similar but there are differences.
You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

Those wheels looks a lot heavier than the GS 3 spoke ones. And the FE looks massive. Like ungodly big and the gold catches your eye a lot compared to the steel grey and black of the bike.
But is there an advantage otherwise for 6 spokes over 3, I guess hit a pothole with the part between the 2 spokes in a 3 spoke and you may flatten it, which I have never seen happen on a GS or even a katana or a GSXR of the same generation which all share the same wheel. Only the post 96 when they went stupid lightening everything that shaZam! was made of potato chips and would break for all sorts of reasons.
