hey everyone, new to the forum and owning a gs.
Traded some work for the bike, all is well except the tank was rusted through. Found a new tank but now I'm on the hunt for the fuel sensor assembly. Another option is deleting it but it seems like it doesn't want to run well with the vacuum line from the carb either blocked or open. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I don't think the level sensor (the top assembly in the diagram) has a vacuum line, rather a drain hose in case it leaks.

The #1 fuel petcock requires vacuum for fuel to flow.  It's readily available from Suzuki, k&l, eBay, etc...
Used Suzuki GS500 = motorcycle adventure without leaving the shop.

Current motorcycles: 1993 GS500E, 1996 XL1200, 1999 ST1100

got ya, and thank you. ive never owned one of these bikes before. nor a bike with a vacuum petcock. i was making assumtions off the same diagrams you posted, but could not see mor that one hose coming off of the petcock. so if i cant find the part anywhere i shouldnt have an issue deleting the sensor. thanks so much for the reply.
