Hey everyone so, I just bought myself a 1989 500E, in mint condition, no rust and it needs no work other than TLC. It starts up and runs great, little bit of paint ware, but for it's age this bike is mint, and it's got only 10K miles on it. It's been sitting in the back of a box truck and i don't know how i stumbled into this, but for 500$ i couldn't be happier. Now on to my question, i am sure this has probably been answered, i did search the forum but most posts are old on this subject and options for universal parts have gotten better. So here goes.

I am looking at doing some stuff to personalize this bike for myself, and one of the things i would like to do is a complete headlight swap out, will these work, and if so how difficult will it be to retrofit them into the current housing? https://www.motorcycleid.com/letric-lighting/letric-lighting-halo-style-led-headlamp-2544252433.html?vehicle=147903, also is there a fender eliminator kit for the back tailight and signal lights, they are old and showing there age, also for the front turn signals, i would like to go with a set that match this light, black background and such. Is their a place to buy these items that will work, and how much work will it be to get them to work. I am pretty handy i have rebuilt a few cars over the years, but this is my first time going all in on a bike like this. I love it the classic style is just rite.

Also someone be my friend because i have a lot of questions on this bike, Like shock replacements/upgrades, this bike seems to be all original it has been taken care of that's obvious by the condition its in. So what is a good set of shocks to upgrade to. I want to modernize the bike as much as possible and turn it into a daily driver that has my personal touch on it. So any suggestions, or help that anyone would like to offer up let me know. Thanks in advance.

I changed shocks on my -90 gs! Gsx 600f katana rear shock is bolt on mod from ebay. I have racetech front springs 80kg/cm from STG. Those were good, maybe 85 or 90 on front would have been bette for me because I like stiff front. I am 90kg.

Be careful with led mods, remember to upgrade relays and put right resistors. Electric system is so simple in gs that be careful, I wanted to keep those "retro" headlight and turn signals and hence I dont know anything about changing the headlight!

There are tons of ideas and a wealth of information in the wiki. One of my favorite sections is the one about the rear shock options. I've contributed a decent amount of info and pics to that one.

Here's one that might interest you as well (there is no actual "kit" afaik):

I've seen people use headlights like the one in your link many times on the fb group. IIRC they are liked.
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

I have been poring over the wiki most of the day and have learned a ton more than when I started. The headlight is just a concern for the difference in electrical I don't wanna damage anything from what I can tell it appears to be a direct replacement. But idk just have to buy it and see what happens. Thanks for the response I really do appreciate any help.
