Hi folks!

I have recently done full maintenance for my bike, which I had to open the valve cover at one point. The first time I started the engine, I have noticed a clicking sound with the engine that I did not notice before. From what I have found here in this forum, it could be a cam chain slapping sound caused by a loose tensioner (I haven't found a video yet) , or a valve clicking sound which is normal. it sure sounded like valve clicking but I felt like it is way to loud to be that. I have uploaded a video of the engine running, the audio is processed with a low cut filter so the noise I am concerned about is more noticeable this way. I understand diagnosing noise from a video is very difficult, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its generally sounding dry and raspy - may just be the fact the tank isn't on it to reflect and scatter that sound away from the rider.
Or an exhaust leak.
Or an intake leak, or filter hiss.
Or may just be one of the 2 you thought it was.

Cool.

Lots of smoke coming off the bike. Did you spill something on the engine/headers or does it always do that?

Hey Buddha, thank you so much for the input. At least now I feel more comfortable knowing it isn't anything horrible.

Some wd40 spilled on the exhaust. The second run made no smoke. i was also very concerned at that moment thinking I broke something haha
