Best Parts for GS500e 1993-1999

Good day,  I have two GS500 that I am getting ready for registration after a year in the shed.
I am getting a third 1996 GS500e, It is a sexy all black with stainless steel engine bolts and grey wheels.  My daugther is excited to have it as her first title in her name and insurance vehicle at 22 years. 

So when I buy these cycles they seem to have terrible parts.  Batteries that don't match the cycle, terminal layout, old break pads, low break fluid.  Bad tires, old filters. poor carb performance.

So If I wanted to get the best parts to start off this 1996 on a good first year, what would the forum recommend.
Carb rebuild kit
Tires (not expensive but good?)
brake pads, Brake fluid  EBC?
Engine Oil 10W-40 with OEM filter?
BATTERY!!
other suggestions to improve the reliability?  or Stuff under the seat for safety and field service (Motorcycle jumper cables, tool kit, extra 20 amp fuse,
Thoughts/Suggestions?

I also have a 96 that could use some refreshing. I used an all-balls carburetor rebuild kit and that worked well. I believe it goes one size up on each of the jets which is the general consensus on what will run best for most people.
I'm a noob rider but the Metzler roadtec 01s that I have on my bike seem good as far as I can tell, and got good reviews from those more knowledgeable than myself.
I just used whatever generic brake fluid was at the parts store myself. EBC pads are generally well regarded. I also replaced the brake lines since the stock lines can give a bit less precise brake feel than steel lines. I used Hel lines and would recommend them.

If this is a first bike for your daughter (mine is my first bike) crash bars or sliders would probably be a good idea too. The only ones I could find readily (in the US) were sliders from R&G. I can't exactly recommend them highly since I did have a low speed crash and they broke, but for falling over in a parking lot or other embarrassing things they're better than nothing.

Not sure where you're located in the world but here in the States, I like motosport.com... especially for OEM stuff. I've ordered from them several times over the years. At times, I've typed in part numbers on eBay and found something for less $$ and have gone that way as well.

I'm currently using Suzuki Ecstar (R9000) oil in my bike. No complaints (been using it for about 6 years now I think).

For the battery I recommend BikeMaster's TruGel. I switched to one of those a handful of years ago (can't even remember it's been that long) and it's great.

Stainless brake lines are a good idea IMO... I have Galfer brand on my bike.

Have a look at Michelin Pilot Street tires as well as the Pilot Activ.

If you do want crash bars, renntec and Hepco & Becker both make 3 point bars that can actually survive a crash, unlike the R&G sliders or 2 point crash bars. The renntec ones even fit under the F model fairings.

i have 2 point crash bars, it is worth it to mod them to a 3 point?
They are made by a local motorcycle shop so i would need to find a welder nearby and design the tabs.
No point in buying and shipping the bars here. Im in Argentina
