Family member had to have it because of the color.  I drove far up to PennState to get it from a 62 year old lady that taught the MC safety course for 18 years. Said she kept up but 2018 Inspection and tire from 2013 plus bad carbs with mice in air box told the real story.  Over paid, got back to the shop. Thanks to many hear bought the last set of affordable tires and lots of carb kit adjustments.  Runs about 90 correct , funny bog down at 4800 rpm.  Delivered to family member all cleaned,  I still smell like gas and feel tired.  Want to just get on my GSXR1000 2004 and relax.  Too much wrench time 2023 on these twins.  But they look good retro.  Best Wishes,  and thanks gurus.

Looks to be in pretty good condition. And mostly all stock other than those SV650 mirrors. Thanks for putting the work in to get another GS500 back on the road.
I agree, its hard to justify putting much time and money into these bikes unless you have an affinity for the model. There are a lot of bikes available for the same amount of money that are better on paper. But something about the GS500 is just perfect/timeless. I think the really nice frame geometry has something to do with it. They ride really nice, and other than the carbs, are pretty easy to work on.
